Biography

I am originally from Kansas (Go Wildcats!) where I received my degree in Computer Science.  I worked in the oil industry as a computer analyst until our family moved to Arizona in 1998.  I telecommuted for several years, then returned to school to earn my M.Ed. from NAU in 2004, and have been teaching ever since.

Our three sons are all graduates of Mesa Public Schools and Arizona Universities (Go Lumberjacks and Wildcats!)  I love teaching CTE, specifically STEM and Computer Science, because students are allowed to follow and develop their passion in the many areas available to today's graduates in the computer related industry!

I have taught summer programming camps at ASU, directed kids church musicals, and enjoy reading, puzzles, the Diamondbacks and all things music.  I'm also a big fan of Girls Who Code (GWC) clubs and the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT).  Welcome to CTE STEM classes - you've made a great choice!
