Classroom Schedule:

If you choose to work with your students during school closures or on the weekends I have included some Working from Home ideas. These are not mandatory and are completely optional.

SCHEDULE:

8:00-9:20             Centers/Groups: 6 tables, 13 minutes each table.

                             Working from Home:

Give students a variety of different educational tasks. Have students work on ABCya for 40 minutes. Ensure students are working on ELA tasks for the first group. https://www.abcya.com/

Once the 40 minutes is up, allow students to take a 10-minute break to engage in free play or free time activities. 

For the second set of 40 minutes allow students to work on Starfall. Once again, ensure students are working on ELA tasks. https://www.starfall.com/h/

Once the 40 minutes is up, allow students to take a 10-minute break to engage in free play or free time activities.

9:25-9:40                          Restroom and Recess

                             Working from Home:

Encourage students to sit on the toilet at home. This will give them practice towards potty training skills. For recess take students to a park, go on a walk, play tag with them in the back yard, or take some toys outside for playtime. Encourage students to go outside and get exercise and fresh air!!

9:45-10:00          Quiet time: Students find something quiet to do. 

                             Working from Home:

Have students lay on the couch, beanbag, pillow mountain, or in a chair. Play some calming music and let students decompress after being outside. You can also use this time to give students a snack break.

10:00-11:10       Centers/Groups: 6 tables, 12 minutes each

                             Working from Home:

Give students a variety of different educational tasks. Have students work on ABCya for 40 minutes. Ensure students are working on Math tasks for the first group. https://www.abcya.com/

 

Once the 40 minutes is up, allow students to take a 10-minute break to engage in free play or free time activities.

For the second 40 minutes allow students to use BrainPOP. I encourage you to have them focus on Math for this group.

Encourage students to help you in the kitchen. Find something for them to do. They can get supplies out, measure items, put on peanut butter and jelly, press start on the microwave, etc.

12:30-12:45       Quiet time

12:45-1:30          Afternoon rotation: 11 minutes, 4 worktables

                             Working from Home

Have students choose which website they would like to use for the afternoon 45 minutes. Giving them a choice allows them to explore all of the sites and resources.
