How To Log Into Clever: Access Canvas, Big Ideas, and More!
How To Log In With You Active Directory
Click "Log in with Active Directory"
Username: email@example.com (your active directory login)
(first initial, middle initial, last initial, and random 4 digit # (assigned by district).
If no middle name use your first initial, last initial and random 5 digit #.
Example: Tom K. Smith firstname.lastname@example.org
Password: active directory password
Big Ideas: How to Access Online Assignments
1st: Log Into Clever
Click "Big Ideas Learning" box on the Clever dashboard
Click "Assignments" tab at the top of the page
Click on Lesson Name to begin assignment
Instructions for completing assignments: All online assignments must be neatly completed in Spiral Math Homework Notebook -see how to set up homework paper. For EVERY question, show ALL steps and work as modeled in class and submit answers online. Assignment papers (in spiral) must be brought to class on due date AND submitted answers online for credit - All steps shown (as demonstrated in the lesson) for EVERY question are required for credit!
"Hints" are available if you miss the question the first time "Reports," show your score and question #'s you missed. Write your % in the top corner of your assignment.
The "Student Dynamic ebook" box in Big Ideas is the student textbook. It has extra mini-videos to go with the lesson.
∞ Notes from class in composition book: Take 5 minutes to review all lesson notes in current chapter each day. Before beginning homework, review the specific lesson and refer back to it if you have questions. Remember you can always re-watch class videos (or PowerPoints).
∞ Big Ideas "Dynamic eBook": The Big Ideas website has the student textbook in a digital format. It includes each lesson with their instructional videos (click on arrow next to example #), additional examples, and practice problems.
∞ Internet: It is okay to look up concepts in which you need help! Videos, similar examples etc. Google the title of the lesson or concept. (or check out Khan Academy)
∞ Relatives or Friends: Find a friend or relative that can help (not give answers) – Utilize all other resources on your own first.
