I am proud to be the Principal of Stapley Junior High and honored to have the opportunity to continue the tradition of excellence. I look forward to developing a positive relationship with faculty/staff, students, and the community through student centered teaching and learning.
This year will mark my 23rd year as an educator/administrator. I spent my first 8 years teaching at Fremont Junior High and Red Mountain High school. In the classroom, I taught PE and Business/Computer classes. While at Red Mountain, I coached baseball, track, and football, where I was a member of the coaching staff that led the football team to two State Championships. I began my administrative career in Mesa at Red Mountain High School as Team Leader. I spent the last 9 years outside the district serving as the Principal at the East Valley Institute of Technology and most recently as an Assistant Principal at Mesquite High school in Gilbert.
My wife Sharla and I have been married 21 years and make our home in Mesa with our three children Tate, Josh, and Gracie. We stay active in the community coaching youth
sports, volunteering with the American Heart Association, and supporting our children’s
I am very excited to once again return to the Mesa Public Schools “Family” and I am looking forward to get to know the students, staff, and family of the Stapley Junior High community.
