I have been teaching in Mesa since 2007. I graduated in 2005 from ASU with a degree in Secondary Education. For fifteen years before that I was a nurse in the hospitals here in Arizona, and Missouri. I also went to U of A and received my Masters in S.T.E.M. education in 2014. My masters thesis was on the introduction of careers in the science classroom. This means your child will be investigating many different careers throughout the year plus a big a big career project at the end of the year for 8th graders. Masters Poster
I enjoy teaching 8th advanced science, Health science, and 7th grade science! I have a very hands on approach to teaching, and you will hear about all the fun stuff I do in my class.
Starting in 2011 I have been teaching HE01, which is an intro class to Biotech, Biomed, Sports medicine, Forensics, and Viruses and Bacteria. This is a semester long elective for 8th graders.
Starting 2019-2020 All Arizona Science Standards are been taught differently. Click on link for more information.
ALL CLASSES USE A COMPOSITION BOOK THAT IS QUAD RULED (GRAPH PAPER) THEY NEED 2 PER YEAR.
