Mesa Public Schools Scholastic Diploma
The MPS Scholastic Diploma ensures a student will meet the high school graduation and entrance requirements set for by the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) for general admittance to one of Arizona’s three state universities. Credit requirements include: 4 English; 4 Mathematics including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and an advanced math; 4 Lab Sciences Biology, Chemistry + SC 09 and/or advanced science(s); 3 Social Studies 3 credits including World History, American History, Government and Economics; 2 World Language (Must be in the same language); 1 fine or practical (CTE) arts; 1 Physical Education; 3 Elective; and a 3.0 + unweighted GPA that includes a minimum of 2 weighted classes). (All MPS high schools)
NOTE: Scholastic Diploma available for graduating classes of 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 only. Please refer to the MPS Advanced Honors for Excellence in Academics for graduating class beyond 2019.
