Hello fellow cougars.  I'm Kate Ryan, your new principal, and I am beyond thrilled to be here!  Here are a few fun facts about me.

+ I'm a mom of two beautiful little girls.  Olivia is 9 years old and Ruby is 3 years old.

+ I am a teacher.  I have taught at both elementary and junior high.  Math is my favorite subject.

+ I love animals.  I have a cat named Starla, but I've had birds, turtles, dogs, and even lizards.  What's your favorite animal?

+ I have been in education for 18 years.  This is my 16th year in Mesa.  I was the assistant principal at Kino Junior High for the last 7 years.

+ My favorite place to be is outside (when it is not 113* outside).  I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, riding my bike, looking for bugs, camping, and floating.  Smores and campfires are a must when it is cold!
