10th - 12th Grade Students Last Names: A - CL
I was born and raised in California where I pursued my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and taught for 9 years. I then moved to New Mexico and received my master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling while instructing pre-service teachers at NMSU. I moved to Arizona in 2005, working for Mesa Public Schools as an elementary and junior high counselor, which led me to Westwood High School. I’m proud to be a Warrior these past 6 years!
Outside of work I have a husband and son who bring me great joy. My interests include yoga, biking and hiking with my dog Molly. (See more on Molly below.)
I look forward to working with 10th, 11th and 12th grade students and families last names A - CL!
Molly is Westwood Counseling Department's therapy dog. She started her journey with MPS's *Pawsitive Peers program in July of 2021. Molly has completed her evaluation through petpartners.org. She is at Westwood every Wednesday during the school year. (*Pawsitive Peers social and emotional learning program teaches students about resiliency, empathy and the human-animal bond.)
