Reading-Vocabulary, comprehension of literary text and informational text
Writing-Students continue to evaluate their writing using the six traits of writing (ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions). Students also learn the following types of writing: narratives/stories, poetry, note-taking, expository paragraphs, persuasive text, letters, thank you notes, responses to literature and reports.
Social Studies-History, geography, native Americans of Arizona, and government are studied
Science – Life science, physical science, earth science are covered through theses topics: variables, energy and magnetism, water study, animal study
