Hey Mountain View, Mrs. Drain's Honors Freshman English classes are running a book drive for Mesa United Way. Please bring kindergarten through 2nd grade books to your 2nd hour class or cash to donate. We will come by just this Tuesday and Thursday to pick up any donations. This is the last week of the drive. There is a box to donate in the office as well. Thanks for your help in providing 12 books to lower income Mesa students!

If you have 10 or more absences(excused or unexcused) in a class, you will need to submit a blue attendance audit form to appeal for credit. You will need to complete the form and provide an explanation for the absences. Attach any documentation to support the appeal, such as a doctor’s note, by the due date. Your administrator will review your appeal to determine your credit status.

Forms need to be turned in to the attendance office the week of April 28th - May 2. Forms will not be accepted after this Friday, May 2, 2025. If you have not received a form in the mail, you can pick up an audit appeal form from the attendance office.

Attention Senior Athletes - if you have played on a varsity team and are graduating this year, please come see Mrs.Cyrus in the Leadership office for your athletic cord. Thank you!

Attention all students who have a class in the Performing Arts Building (the big Glass building).

The PAC lobby and bathrooms will be closed for the month of May. No students will be allowed to enter or exit the main lobby area or use those bathrooms. The area is also closed during lunchtimes and no one will have access. If you have a class in the PAC, you must enter and exit through the NORTH entrance ONLY (the one by the Gym).

Calling all SWAT Team members and anyone wanting a leadership role in next year's garden club. Big things are happening on our campus and we want you to help make Toro Country greener. See Ms. Greer in 717 to get your name on the ballot so we can hold elections this Thursday for President, VP, and Social Guru. Ask Greer in 717 for details!

As Cinco de Mayo approaches, let’s take a moment to think critically about what it really means. Contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day — that’s actually on September 16. Instead, it marks a regional victory in 1862 during the Battle of Puebla.

In Mexico, the day isn’t widely celebrated outside of Puebla. In the U.S., its popularity has more to do with beer marketing campaigns from the 1980s than with history.

So, if you celebrate Cinco de Mayo, enjoy it — but also take time to understand its deeper context. The Latino Club encourages all of us to be informed and thoughtful about the cultures we celebrate.

The far north parking lot behind the football field has been painted with a fire lane along the curbs. Although this lot is often opened for overflow parking, any student parking in a fire lane is subject to be towed. Please only park in marked parking spaces. Furthermore, parking in staff, visitor, or another students’ parking spot is prohibited. If you do not have a spot, please park at Central Christian Church. Thank you.
